Lincoln Elementary takes advantage of therapy dog

Pumpkin, a Golden Retriever/Poodle mix, gets lots of attention from these third graders at Lincoln Elementary School: Kase Luond (left), Ashlynn Tash, Emery Bates, Harrison Aalto and Kaylee Saldana. The school has used Pumpkin this year to help children in many ways, including rewards, transition from home to school, individual counseling and engaging them in reading.

LINCOLN -- It's hard to tell who is more excited when Pumpkin, a therapy dog, comes to Lincoln Elementary School.

Most children, of course, want to pet and love on Pumpkin.
