Library Provides Many Services

The Arkansas Apple Festival is almost here and soon the trees will begin to turn into their lovely fall colors.

Don't forget all the free classes we are providing for you at the Lincoln Public Library. We have GED classes that meet every Tuesday evening from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-5 p.m., Knitting and Crochet classes, a Creative writing class for 8-12 graders from 5-7 p.m. every other Tuesday night. The History Club meets the second Tuesday evening of each month at 6:30.

Story Time with Will on Saturday mornings at 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. Each Wednesday at 10 a.m. we host StoryTime with Ms Sherry Rodgers.

If you are interested in being involved with the Arkansas Apple Festival, the committee meets at the library, please call for more information. The VFW currently meets here in the small conference room the first Monday evening of each month also. We are so pleased to be able to offer all these activities to everyone free of charge as we are committed to serving our community in the best ways possible!.

Please don't forget we will be closed during the Apple Festival but it will be business as usual on Monday, Oct. 6.

Next month we will have Dawn Denton from Siloam Springs come by on Oct. 25. She will be reading a few of her children's books and then giving some away. You won't want to miss that.

If you are thinking about your health -- sometime in January, Christine Mayo with the University of Arkansas will be teaching Diabetic Nutrition classes again. She is awesome and we are thrilled she is coming back. I talked with Coach Sposato and he is interested in teaching another BBQ class in the spring, so be thinking about that too.

We are doing a lot of things here at the library. Be sure and call us if you have any questions or need information, we will try to help.
