Cemeteries Plan Decoration Days

This has been an unusually wet spring, with most days having the challenge of thunderstorms, but only enough rain each time for surface moisture to keep things green and growing. Many gardens were late in getting started.

The past week that changed, as wide spread rainfall came, a reported 4+ inches in this area. If only we could pipe some of the excess to California and other drought areas.

Since May is Humor and Older American's Month, here is about both:

"Thinking"

A do-it-yourself enthusiast read the instructions on assembling his new gadget. Despite repeated efforts, he could not get it to work.

Finally, he sought the help of an old handyman. After looking at the gadget for a few minutes, the old man got it in working condition.

Said the do-it-yourselfer, "How did you put it together so quickly without even reading the instructions?"

Replied the old man, "I can't read, and when a fellow can't read, he's got to think.

Memorial Day, Cane Hill, White Oak. Weekend nearest Memorial Day, Farmington.

The fifth Sunday in May, or first Sunday in June, Edmiston.
