LINCOLN --Prairie Grove jumped out to an early lead and never looked back en route to a convincing 19-5, run-rule shortened victory against Lincoln on April 21.

The Tigers scored in every inning and exploded for 14 hits.

Sam Dodd was 3 for 5 with a double and four RBIs while Logan Gragg was 3 for 4 with three RBIs. Reed Orr and Nick Quinton both went 2 for 4.

Orr highlighted a four-run first inning with an RBI triple to deep centerfield, but Lincoln answered in the bottom of the inning with a two-run single through the left side of the infield by Caleb Loyd.

Dodd lined an RBI single to left to get things going for the Tigers during a five-run second inning. Quinton and Isaac Disney also drove in runs during the inning.

Prairie Grove starter Nick Ellis allowed two earned runs on six hits while striking out four and walking none in three innings.

Dylan Soehner came on in relief for the final two innings and allowed one unearned run on one hit while striking out three and walking one.

Garrett Blankenship was 2 for 2 to pace the Wolves' offense while Sterling Morphis and Tristian Young each picked up an RBI.

Prairie Grove 2, Vian, Okla. 0

Gragg, Prairie Grove senior right-hander, tossed a one-hitter while striking out 13 in a 2-0 victory over Vian, Okla., on April 23.

Leadoff man Isaac Disney scored both of the Tigers' runs, including one after reaching base on a hit by pitch in the first innings and the other after he reached on a single in the fifth inning. He scored on an error in the first inning and a fielder's choice in the fifth.

Disney also had two stolen bases as did Clay Fidler and the Tigers' offense benefited from four Vian errors.

Disney and Gavin Heltemes had Prairie Grove's only two hits off Vian's Javier Ramos, who struck out eight and walked three in seven-innings.

Ramos had Vian's lone hit, a double to right field, to spoil Gragg's bid at a no-hitter with one out in the fourth inning.

Gragg picked off Ramos' courtesy runner at second base before recording a strikeout to escape the threat.
