Council Approves Project Costs

In a special meeting Aug. 1, Lincoln City Council approved bids for two projects.

The Council accepted a bid of $46,000 from HD Supply of Tontitown for water meters and a new system for reading water meters. HD Supply submitted the low bid for the project.

The new system will allow city workers to use a handheld or mobile device to read water meters. The bid includes 200 new meters, software setup and training, a walk-by handheld collection device and a mobile drive-by collection device.

The city plans to replace all meters over the next few years.

Council members also approved a bid of $45,377 from Tomlinson Asphalt for road overlays.
