Zumba Classes

Farmington Senior Activity and Wellness Center will have Zumba classes, 3 p.m. Mondays and Fridays. Free for seniors over 60 and $5 per class for under 60. Geared for seniors who desire to stay active.

Farmington Stampede

The annual Farmington Stampede will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26. The 5K run/walk and 1 mile fun run/walk begins at Williams Elementary on Broyles Avenue with proceeds to benefit Back To School Bonanza and Farmington Cross Country. Rivalry Football Game

The annual Farmington vs. Prairie Grove rivalry varsity football game will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 29 (not Friday) with opening kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. at Farmington's Allen Holland Field.

Walk To Cure Diabetes

Farmington Walk to Cure Diabetes will be held Saturday, Sept. 16. Registration begins at 8 a.m. in the vacant lot next to the former Marvin's IGA and the walk begins at 9 a.m. Sonic will provide breakfast for participants. The walk will go from the vacant lot to Farmington United Methodist Church and back. Proceeds benefit Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Youth Talent Contest

The Arkansas Apple Festival youth talent contest will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7. Entry forms are now available by emailing Russ Laycox at [email protected] or calling him or Rainy at 479-824-5495. You can also get the forms at the festival website at www.arapplefestival.org. There are two age divisions, 8-12 and 13-17. Entries are on a first come, first serve basis. There is no entry fee.

Gospel Singing

Anyone interested in singing at the Clothesline Fair Gospel Sing on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 3, call Marion Cowan, 479-841-3372. Each singer or group, please plan on 20-30 minutes of song. Everyone else bring your lawn chair and enjoy the music.
