Senior Reflects On FFA Career

FFA gave me wings. It was my vessel throughout high school that allowed me to soar, to be successful. It taught me confidence, patience, leadership, responsibility, communication, and so much more. FFA showed me not only that I was capable but capable of anything.

From raising a show animal for the first time, to attending the National Convention, FFA has opened doors to endless opportunities for me. Being a member of the opening and closing ceremonies team my freshman year got my foot in the door, and I was stuck.

From there, I began showing animals at the Washington County Fair. I joined the poultry team and became a member of the officer team. Over the course of my career, I grew into the person I am today. FFA allowed me to find my place in the world and the path to my future. I was fortunate enough to make life-long friendships along the way as well. Without the opportunities, friendships, and lessons I've gained through FFA, I would not be the person I am today. FFA allowed me to transform myself into someone I am so blessed to be.

FFA gave me wings.
