Let Me Tell You About Lincoln Center

Well, hello there and welcome to the Lincoln Senior Center.

Come in and let me introduce you to our director, Sue Parks. A very caring and hard-working lady with a great vision for the center.

Come along and I'll show you the rest of the center -- ah, yes -- the piano. We have gospel singing here on Monday mornings from 10-11:30 a.m. On Tuesdays the center's Kitchen Band meets from 10-11 a.m. Our other activities include Beanie Bag Baseball, Wii Bowling and an on-going card game called TIC.

There is a jigsaw puzzle out on a table at all times if this appeals to you. On Wednesdays starting at 9:30 a.m., we a musical jam session that is open to all who play or sing. Wednesday afternoons, starting at 12:30 p.m., we have Bingo. Some people like it and the other people do not.

Super Bingo is on Fridays at 12:30 p.m. It's really like regular Bingo, except better prizes and it costs more.

Come along and see our kitchen. We have one good looking cook and one crazy cook, but they put out some tasty meals.

The center is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, for people 60 and over.

There are many opportunities to volunteer to help your fellow man.

We have a Valentine's Dance coming up on February 14 and Dale Hutchinson has agreed to give dance lessons to those who would like to learn or brush up on the two step, waltz or line dance.

Before I go, let me tell you about our home delivery meal program to the Lincoln seniors. It also provides someone the opportunity to check on them once a day.

If you get time give us a call at 479-824-3861 and we will fill you in on a lot more that we do here and hope you will come back soon.
