LINCOLN -- Burger Land in Lincoln has new owners and they plan to keep the restaurant basically as is because the business has been a part of the community for such a long time.

Gary and Amy Ezell purchased Burger Land on Jan. 3. This is their first time to own a restaurant but it is something the couple has talked about since they moved to Lincoln.

"We want to provide quality food at a reasonable price," Gary Ezell said.

For now, the menu will stay the same but eventually they want to add new items for customers to try.

The restaurant, located at 802 Pridemore Drive, will be open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. It is closed Sundays. In addition to the Ezells, the restaurant has four employees.

Amy Ezell said the restaurant will continue with a friendly atmosphere and a "hometown feel."

She added, "Come in, have a good time and visit."

In addition to regular menu items, the restaurant also will feature home-made pies.

Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce recently sponsored a ribbon cutting ceremony for Burger Land. Afterward, members ate lunch and met together at the restaurant.
