"Once in a blue moon, very seldom, almost never," the meaning of the old saying is broken this year. In March, as it was in January, a full moon was on the first day of the month, and a second on the 31st, making two "blue moons" in the first quarter of 2018. To add to the mystery, January and March stole the full moons from February, making that month without even one full moon, really rare. Add to this the eclipse of the moon and the appearance of the "red moon" (which was not visible from my place), we wonder what else will happen in this year.

Last week, Johnny and Anna built a very sturdy frame for a shed to replace the one that was blown away from the storage building behind my house. Saturday, son-in-law, grandsons and great-grandsons gathered to finish it and now there is one even better than the old one. What a great job! And I am blessed, not only with a well built structure, but most important, with so many loved ones in my family.

Members of the Lincoln Kitchen Band went to the West Fork Center Tuesday to entertain there, and as usual were entertained too, as they sang and played, yes, and joked right along with us. What fun! Instead of delivered meals, they favored us with a good Arkansas pot luck meal, really enjoyed, also with lots of visiting. We'll accept another invitation anytime, and they are always welcome in Lincoln.
