LINCOLN -- Lincoln halted a two-game losing streak to start the new year by pulling off a last-second win on Colors Day.
The Lady Wolves led at halftime 25-19, but trailed, 31-30, going into the fourth quarter. Jessica Goldman tied for game honors with 18 points for Lincoln along with Gentry's Chastery Fuamatu, who also had 18 points. Hannah Boss added 10 for the Lady Pioneers.

Elkins 65, Lincoln 36
Elkins took a 17-8 first quarter lead, which the Lady Elks increased to 30-16 at the half and 50-30 after three quarters on the way to a 65-36 win at Lincoln Jan. 9. A trio of Lady Elks scored in double figures, including Shelby Diaville, 19; Tink Harris, 14; and K.D. Miller, 12. Senior Madison Jones led the Lady Wolves with 11 points.

Prairie Grove 43, Lincoln 33
Prairie Grove extended its consecutive win-streak over Lincoln in girls basketball by posting a 43-33 win on the Lady Wolves' home-court Jan. 5. The Lady Tigers didn't shoot particularly well, finishing just 15-of-43 from the field and were 9-of-20 at the foul line.
For all of their struggles offensively, the Lady Tigers were solid on defense, not allowing Lincoln a double-digit scoring quarter until the fourth when the Lady Wolves notched 10 points and not allowing any Lincoln player to reach double figures. Lincoln led 9-8 after one quarter of play, but fell behind 20-16 at the half. Prairie Grove increased the lead to five points (28-23) at the end of the third and held off the Lady Wolves with a 15-10 scoring advantage in the fourth quarter.
Lexie Madewell led the Lady Tigers with 11 points while Tanner Robb was the high-point scorer for Lincoln with 9.
